Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RADAR (“RADAR”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the RADAR website (radarbuenosaires.com) and the RADAR mobile application for iOS and Android (together, the “Platform”).
1. Who we are
RADAR is a cultural dissemination platform based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is operated by the RADAR team, which is responsible for processing the personal data described in this policy.
2. Data we collect
We collect only the data we need to run the Platform. Specifically:
- Account data. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier, your email address, and — if you choose to share it — your name. Authentication is handled by our partner Clerk.
- User-generated content. If your account has permission to publish spaces or events, we store the information and images you submit (name, description, address, schedule, photos). Photos are uploaded to our content delivery network hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Favorites and subscriptions. We store the spaces and events you mark as favorites or subscribe to, linked to your account.
- Push notification token. If you allow push notifications in the mobile app, we store the Expo push token issued by your device so we can notify you about new or expiring events. You can revoke this at any time from the system settings.
- Device and technical data. We store the operating system type (iOS or Android) associated with each push token. Our servers also log standard technical data such as IP address and request timestamps for security and diagnostics.
Data NOT collected:When you use the “my location” button on the map in the mobile app, your coordinates are read from the device only to center the map and are never transmitted to our servers or stored. Photos you select from your library are only uploaded when you explicitly submit them as part of a space or event. We do not use analytics, advertising, or cross-app tracking, and the app does not collect an advertising identifier (IDFA).
3. How we use your data
- To create and maintain your account and keep you signed in.
- To show you the spaces and events you follow, and the content you create.
- To send relevant push notifications about new events in spaces you subscribe to, and about favorited events that are ending soon.
- To review and moderate user-submitted content before it is published.
- To prevent abuse and keep the Platform secure.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not profile you across other apps or websites.
4. Third-party service providers
We rely on the following trusted providers to operate the Platform. Each processes data only on our instructions and for the purposes described above:
- Clerk — user authentication and session management.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store distribution.
- Google — Sign in with Google, Google Maps (map display in the mobile app).
- Expo — push notification delivery for the mobile app.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting of the database and content delivery network.
5. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except for information we are required to keep for legal or security reasons (for example, logs of abuse reports).
6. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access and update your profile data from your account settings.
- Revoke the location, photos, calendar, or push notification permissions from your device settings.
- Export or request a copy of the data associated with your account.
- Delete your account (see next section).
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@radarbuenosaires.com.
7. Account deletion
You can delete your RADAR account at any time from the Profile tab in the mobile app, or by writing to info@radarbuenosaires.com. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data, your favorites, your subscriptions, and the user-generated content you have published, within 30 days.
8. Children
RADAR is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure credential storage on your device, and access controls on our backend. No system is perfectly secure, and you should also protect your account by keeping your sign-in credentials private.
10. International transfers
Some of our service providers store data on servers located outside Argentina. When this happens, we rely on standard data-protection safeguards provided by the respective providers.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
On the website, we use the minimum set of cookies required to keep your session active and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Platform, and the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.
